Although the release date was leaked a few weeks ago, 2K and Hangar 13 confirmed today that the highly anticipated Mafia: The Old Country will be released on August 8, 2025.
According to the developers, Mafia: The Old Country will be an experience that combines quality storytelling and authentic immersion in the period of early 1900s Sicily and the Mafia's origin story. The game will follow the protagonist, Enzo Favara, as he takes the oath and gradually rises through the ranks of Don Torrisi's crime family.
The announcement was followed by the trailer you can see below, which shows several samples of the gameplay, including elements of stealth and horse-riding:
