The Steam hardware device family is expanding as Valve has announced three new "members": a new Steam Controller, a new VR headset called Steam Frame, and a "living room" PC for gaming on TVs with the historic name Steam Machine. This important announcement is accompanied by an official video that analyzes each device in more detail.
Of course, all new hardware is based on SteamOS, Valve's Linux-based operating system that has already enjoyed success on Steam Deck. The launch of the new hardware is scheduled for "early 2026," while multiple hardware sites abroad have already published articles and videos with their first impressions of using the controller, headset, and "console."
