The AC: Black Flag remake is official
The remake of one of the best Assassin’s Creed games—namely, Black Flag—was one of the worst-kept secrets of recent months. In fact, the situation was “the talk of the town,” yet today the French company decided to officially announce its existence.
Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced, as the remake is titled, will be released this summer, specifically on July 9, 2026. The game does not alter the core story of Edward Kenway, but it will feature many technical improvements (obviously), as well as changes to the combat system, the naval gameplay, and the way the rest of the game’s world reacts to us, depending on our actions.
Overall, Ubisoft promises a more comprehensive experience, with the content being further enriched by additional side content and the introduction of new characters.
So, while we wait for the release of Resynced, you can watch the official trailer below, as well as an explanatory video highlighting the differences from the original Black Flag.
