Following the excellent remaster of Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars,, Revolution Software has announced that it is developing a remastered version of the second part of the series, Smoking Mirror, which first appeared in 1997.
According to the company's press release, Broken Sword: The Smoking Mirror: Reforged is expected to be released in early 2026 and will feature updated graphics with resolutions up to 4k, as well as the addition of a "story mode" aimed at newcomers to the genre (we saw this happen in Shadow of the Templars).
This is certainly welcome news for adventure game enthusiasts, considering the quality of the first game. However, we hope to hear more about the progress of Broken Sword: Parzival's Stone...
