Star Citizen: Squadron 42 finally "feature complete"

Hope in sight?

Many Star Citizen backers have lost all hope of seeing a full release before they shed their mortal coil. Others are having fun with the (unfinished) content that is already available, while there are some like myself who hold out a small hope that at least the singleplayer portion of Star Citizen, the campaign called Squadron 42, will eventually see the light of day as a full game.

At the Citizen Con event the head of Star Citizen, the legendary game designer Chris Roberts, actually raised our hopes by announcing that Squadron 42 has finally reached the status of "feature complete"! But before you start making space on your hard drives and browsing shops for flight sticks, we have to point out that after this stage the next stages of gameplay optimization and performance optimization will follow, so the wait will have to continue since no specific release date has been announced. In the meantime, enjoy the admittedly impressive video published by Cloud Imperium with samples of the campaign and the various gameplay segments included in it.

A dedicated PC gamer, Alexandros plays everything depending on the mood of the moment, but shows a preference for turn-based strategy, RPGs and considers UFO: Enemy Unknown as the best game of all time. Otherwise, he tries to hide his turtle-like reflexes by avoiding competitive multiplayer because, as he says, "it doesn't suit him" and is looking for ways to get the "Church of Gaben" recognized as an official religion in his country.
