Following the announcements from State of Play and Summer Game Fest, it was Microsoft’s turn to hold its own presentation. Admittedly, the Xbox Games Showcase 2026 was one of the most packed events in recent years, with titles to suit literally every taste.
In any case, one of the most interesting pieces of news to come out of the event was the return of exclusives to the Xbox ecosystem, with games like Gears of War: E-Day and Clockwork Revolution being released only on Xbox consoles and PC (in other words, Sony and Nintendo are left out in the cold). A logical response, following Sony’s recent decision to “lock” its own single-player titles to the PlayStation.
