Star Wars: Galactic Racer was one of two games set in the Star Wars universe that were unveiled at The Game Awards. For the record, the second was Fate of the Old Republic, but we’ll have to wait quite a while longer before we see anything concrete.
However, Secret Mode/Fuse Games’ Galactic Racer is set to be released this year, specifically on October 6, 2026. The game’s main character is Shade, a mysterious pilot whose goal is to reach the top of the Galactic League by competing in the famous podraces. At the same time, the game will have a few more surprises in store, as it will feature familiar characters and locations from the movies, while also offering a “story mode” where players can explore the paddock and interact with NPCs and rival drivers.
Besides, the game has been described as a “racing adventure,” whatever that means. Of course, in addition to the single-player campaign, it will also offer online PvP races with cross-platform support. All of this sounds interesting—let’s wait and see how it plays out in a few months.
