Official announcement for Exodus, the action-RPG from former Bioware members
At last night's Game Awards 2023, we got our first look at the Sci-Fi Action-RPG in development by Archetype Entertainemt, an in-house game development studio for Wizards of The Coast. The studio in question is made up of former members of well-known companies such as Bioware, Naughty Dog, 343 Industries, and more.
In the game we take on the role of the Traveler, where we are tasked with finding a new home for humanity as Earth is destroyed and surviving in the vastness of space. The scenario unfolds over an original science fiction universe, where our decisions will have consequences on a large scale. The creators also promise AAA quality standards, both in gameplay and in the way the story is presented.
Could Exodus be the title that fills the void left by the Mass Effect series? No one knows, but we'll be watching the development surrounding it with interest.
