Το Diablo Immortal της Blizzard σηκώνει θύελλα αντιδράσεων από την ανακοίνωσή του μέχρι την κυκλοφορία του. Μπορεί εν τέλει να κυκλοφόρησε και στο PC, και από πλευράς περιεχομένου να μην είναι και ΤΟΣΟ άθλιο η αλήθεια είναι, όμως ο πυρήνας του είναι ξεκάθαρα αυτός ενός mobile game. Και, αν αυτό κάνει περισσότερο μπαμ σε έναν τομέα του, αυτός είναι ο ευρύτερος τομέας του monetization, με χρήστες να αναφέρουν πως απαιτείται να ξοδευτούν κυριολεκτικά χιλιάδες ευρώ κατά μέσο όρο προκειμένου ένας παίκτης να αποκτήσει έστω ένα (!) από τα καλύτερα Legendary Gems του παιχνιδιού. Πόσες χιλιάδες ευρώ; Πλέον μπορείτε να δείτε ΚΙ ΕΣΕΙΣ πόσα ακριβώς χιλιάρικα θα χαρίζατε στην Blizzard αν τα είχατε για ξόδεμα, μέσω ενός πολύ βολικού (ΚΑΙ ΔΩΡΕΑΝ) Rift Simulator! Καταρχάς λίγο backstory για τους μη-γνώστες: Ο κυριότερος τρόπος να φαρμάρουμε Legendary Gems για το Gear μας στο Diablo Immortal είναι μέσω της πραγματοποίησης Elder Rift Runs. Στα Rifts μπορούμε να "καταθέσουμε" κατά την εκκίνησή τους μέχρι τρία Crests για να αυξήσουμε την πιθανότητα υψηλής ποιότητας drops. Υπάρχουν τα Elder Crests, τα οποία είναι (σχετικά) άφθονα και μπορούν να αποκτηθούν (σχετικά) εύκολά από τους παίκτες, αλλά και τα Legendary Crests, που παρέχουν πιθανότητα 75% για τουλάχιστον 1 Legendary Gem Drop κάθε φορά (υπάρχουν και τα Eternal Legendary Crests, αλλά εκείνα είναι άλλη ιστορία για άλλη φορά). Αυτά είναι υπερβολικά δυσεύρετα, με το παιχνίδι να παρέχει δωρεάν από 1 έως 3 ΜΗΝΙΑΙΩΣ (!!!) στους παίκτες. Εναλλακτικά, μπορείς να σκάσεις λεφτουδάκια στο in-game store του παιχνιδιού για να αποκτήσεις όσα θες. Αν ένα γκρουπ 4 παικτών εκκινήσει Rift έχοντας κολλήσει σε αυτό 10 και πάνω Legendary Crests, θεωρητικά αυξάνονται ακόμα περισσότερο οι πιθανότητες για υψηλής ποιότητας Legendary Gems.Τα Legendary Gems του Diablo Immortal χωρίζονται ποιοτικά στα 1-Star, 2-Star και 5-Star. Τα τελευταία, με τη σειρά τους, έχουν κι άλλες υποκατηγορίες αστεριών, και μπορούν να είναι από 2-Star πεντάστερα μέχρι 5-Star πεντάστερα, τα οποία είναι και τα ισχυρότερα gems του παιχνιδιού. Κατανοητά όλα αυτά; Τέλεια! Πάμε παρακάτω. Το θέμα που εγείρεται, λοιπόν, είναι πως, ακόμα κι αν σκάσεις λεφτά για να αποκτήσεις άφθονα Legendary Crests, τα drop rates σε ένα 10-Crest Elder Rift είναι ΤΟΣΟ ΑΒΥΣΣΑΛΕΑ ΧΑΜΗΛΑ που το 99.9% των drops σου θα είναι χαμηλής ποιότητας. Πόσα ακριβώς χρήματα θα έπρεπε, επομένως, να σκάσει θεωρητικά κάποιος προκειμένου να αποκτήσει ΕΣΤΩ ΕΝΑ από τα ισχυρότερα Legendary Gems του παιχνιδιού; Εδώ έρχεται το Rift Simulator, το οποίο εξομοιώνει με ακρίβεια τα Legendary Gem Drop Rates του παιχνιδιού σε ένα 10-Crest Rift Run και, σε συνάρτηση με το κόστος απόκτησης Legendary Crests από το store του παιχνιδιού, σας επιτρέπει να δείτε εντελώς δωρεάν πόσα λεφτά θα έπρεπε να ξοδέψετε ώστε να αποκτήσετε ΕΣΤΩ ΕΝΑ 5-Star Πεντάστερο Legendary Gem. Μπείτε στο λινκ και κλικάρετε ελεύθερα. Θα δείτε πως, 9 στις 10 φορές, το ποσό που απαιτείται (για ΕΣΤΩ ΕΝΑ 5-STAR GEM, επαναλαμβάνουμε) κυμαίνεται κατά μέσο όρο ανάμεσα στις 2μιση και τις 7 χιλιάδες ευρώ (!!!). Τα νοίκια ενός 8μήνου για να αποκτήσεις 2 gems που μπορεί κιόλας να μην ταιριάζουν καν στο build που έχεις κατά νου. Όπως λέει και μια γνωστή ψυχή, It Just Works! Όπως προειπώθηκε, καθαρά από πλευράς περιεχομένου και των όσων προσφέρει ως ένα ΔΩΡΕΑΝ Diablo για κινητά, το Diablo Immortal δεν είναι και ΤΟΣΟ άσχημο παιχνίδι. Οι παραπάνω πρακτικές ως προς το monetization όμως, και οι Pay-to-Win προεκτάσεις τους (φανταστείτε πόσο τεράστιο αβαντάζ αποκτάει κάποιο κορόιδο κάποιος παίκτης που έχει την ευχέρεια να σκάσει 10.000 για ένα in-game item) μόνο αμήχανο γέλιο μπορούν να προκαλέσουν. Το Rift Simulator είναι απλώς ακόμα ένα επιχείρημα υπέρ του να μην ξοδέψει ποτέ, κανένας, πραγματικά χρήματα για να αποκτήσει gear στο παιχνίδι. Αν και αυτό φαίνεται να μην πτοεί αρκετό κόσμο, καθώς το game ήδη σημειώνει ρεκόρ εσόδων. Παίξτε με το Simulator και γράψτε τις εντυπώσεις σας.
