Updated content for Dying Light: The Beast

Techland has announced Dying Light: The Beast Restored Land, which has already been released and includes new free content for the base game.

The new and improved edition introduces Restored Land mode, an extremely challenging experience that offers a new way to play Dying Light: The Beast , forcing players to develop, adapt, and perfect their survival skills.

In Restored Land, every action has permanent consequences. Zombies killed by the player do not respawn. Loot also no longer respawns, while containers provide fewer supplies and stores offer reduced stock at higher prices. Under these new rules, activities such as Convoys, Dark Zones, and Hives need to be completed only once. Survival mechanics are intensified, including the need to manage hunger and replace depleted flashlight batteries, given the limited availability of resources.

In addition, the most daring players can further define the rules of their survival by enabling the "One Life" option, which gives them only one chance to complete the Restored Land experience. In the event of death, the saved game is deleted, meaning they must start over from the beginning. Successfully completing the game on Restored Land and One Life settings, in turn, unlocks special rewards.

Restored Land mode reinforces the game’s core philosophy by placing full responsibility for every decision, every risk, and every resource squarely on the player. It marks a turning point in the history of Dying Light, where, for the first time, hope can return as areas are completely cleared of the infected. The restored areas gradually come back to life, with survivors reappearing in the world and returning to their normal lives.

The new content also introduces Roadkill Rallies—competitive challenges featuring vehicles that combine zombie-killing action with route optimization across the open world. Players can track their performance in both Restored Land and Roadkill Rallies and compare their results with friends on the friend leaderboards.

In addition, the game includes 33 new missions, new brutal finishers, 7 new achievements, 5 new hidden stashes, encounters with high-risk zombies offering greater rewards, improvements to battles with special infected and to co-op mode, as well as dozens of gameplay and performance enhancements.

Players who already own Dying Light: The Beast will be automatically upgraded to the Restored Land edition at no additional cost.
