Silent Hill 2 release date revealed

At Konami's Silent Hill Transmission event last night, the Japanese company provided a lot of information about Silent Hill 2. First, we officially learned the official release date for the remake of the classic psychological horror title: October 8, 2024. Next, we saw extended gameplay from the game. This included scenes from the beginning of the game (mostly from the streets of the titular town and Brookhaven Hospital), and fans of the game probably have already spotted similarities, as well as differences.

Overall, it gives a positive vibes of how Bloober Team handled the material they had in their hands. Finally, we had some brief interviews with the creators of the game, as well as the actors behind James and Maria Sunderland. You can watch the relevant videos below:

Παναγιώτης Μητράκης

As a kid of the 80's, he began his journey into gaming with coin-ops and the classic Game Boy. He found some respite with his beloved SNES and got into PC gaming in 1998, with landmark games like Half-Life and Baldur's Gate. He doesn't steer clear of (almost) any genre but has a predilection for RPGs and survival horror and tries to introduce others to Silent Hill, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and the creations of Looking Glass and Obsidian.
