Blizzard's Diablo Immortal will apparently no longer be a mobile-only title, as an announcement today revealed that it will be released on PC as well. According to a new trailer, the free-to-play game will officially launch on June 2nd, with its PC Open Beta starting on that date as well. Also noteworthy is the fact that the title will support crossplay between mobile and PC versions.
The initial announcement of Diablo Immortal back at Blizzcon 2018 can only be described as infamous, as it is remembered more for the memes it produced rather than the actual prospect of a free-to-play mobile Diablo game itself. Since then... events have transpired, both in regards to Blizzard as a company and in regards to the Diablo franchise, including the announcement of a full, "traditional" Diablo 4 game. The new announcement for Diablo Immortal probably falls into the second and more "pleasant" category of news, though that will be determined at the final release of the title. Only 1 month and a week to go.
