[UPDATE] The first trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI is officially released

The internet has been buzzing for the past few days about the fact that Rockstar was expected to release the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI on Tuesday afternoon, December 5, but the developers decided to release it almost a day early:

Perhaps the most important thing we see in the trailer, apart from the protagonists of the game and the setting, which is a modern-day Vice City, is the release date of 2025. Like the trailer's song says, 2025 is a long, long road, but it's a start I guess.

Initial news on February 4th 2022::
Everyone assumed that the new member of the Grand Theft Auto series was in development and would be announced, but it's nice to have an official confirmation. So, according to a tweet from Rockstar, the title's development is confirmed "in obedience to the demands of many fans".

Rumours as to the location of the new game are predictably rife, with several sources talking about a "Vice City 2" of sorts. But all of these speculations remain unconfirmed.

It's been 7 long years since the release of GTA V on PC, and we've recently been treated to the Grand Theft Auto Definitive Edition trilogy. But the truth is, no matter how many updates come out for GTA Online, a new game in the series is the main thing we'd like to see from the company.

Logically we are still several years away from any release date. Anyway, at least we have a start. More information, sometime in the future.
